Take a sec and think of the people you admire/lookup to the most.

Are you thinking of family? Friends? Celebrities?

What makes them hold that special place in your heart?

It's probably not because of how normal they are.

THEN WHY DOES EVERYONE WANT TO BE NORMAL!!!

The amazing thing about humans is that no two people are the same; we are all different and should embrace that difference.

Too many times I've felt down because I thought I was abnormal or didn't fit-in --- if only I could have realized how being different is what others are searching for.

Embracing your quirks is one of the first steps in self-acceptance, something many people are incapable of doing thanks to societal pressures.

The mind can be a creative whirlpool just as much as it can be a prison of insecurities and overthought. Everyone interprets the world differently (based on backdrop and biological factors) so it's important to understand our own worldview before we attempt to make sense of anything.

Yesterday I worked on homework for 6 hours while listening to Spotify. As the hours merged together so did the songs, and I began to roll in productivity. When I finished an assignment which had been looming over my head for two weeks, I pranced around my warm dorm room in celebratory fashion.

Embrace a passion for spontaneity and watch your dull life take shape.

Mine was DULL just a few years ago.

Though structure is good, and I still operate on two calendars + bulletin board of to-dos... giving surprises to yourself may be the remedy you didn't know you needed.

Example: This past Thursday, me and some friends went on an impulse trip to the theaters for a movie. It wasn't gonna break the bank or disrupt my week, but it made that one day stand out from the others, creating a memory.

How often do we live for tomorrow, when we could be making memories now?
