Back when I was attending Crossroads, the local Bible college, I participated in many on-campus events (possibly because I was the student council treasurer *shrug*). One event in particular we all had fun in planning was the 24-hour prayer room: a classroom dedicated for people to pray for... you guessed it... an entire day. Inside this room were multiple things to do involving prayer such as painting, adding to the request board, praying for things on the request board, and praying for people groups (countries, global needs, etc.)

You can imagine some of us got really tired.

Thankfully, we had a schedule for people to come in at some of the more 'inconvenient' times of night; this way people could pray in shifts.

(example, I stayed 8pm till 1am)

Since I had recently finished some last minute shopping for art supplies and the like, I was eager to try out the new paints; so, the present council members and myself projected the image of a lion on the wall and got to it -- we did ask the school first before painting.

A few hours later we looked up at our work and sighed in admiration.

I never painted on a school wall before and wanted the image to be perfect. It was even more important we get it right since the Lion represents a side of Jesus, the fierce and intimidating side, but then again (on the opposite wall) some of us painted a sheep to reflect Jesus's calm and peaceful nature.

This post is a bit more spiritual than previous, but it's current and on my heart today -- so what better to share, right?

We are created in the image of God, and that means we share in his personalities. The defining character of boldness that we adopted can be used for so much good! Yet... also we see time and time again how that same daring attitude is used for evil.

Today's daily challenge is an evaluation.

"What have I done today that is out of the ordinary, not standard. How has that action/thinking process shaped others reality? Am I making any long term effects by my actions and if so, to what level of influence?"

Be a lion and a lamb. Know when it's time to go on the advance but also when to be a gentle, peace-keeper.
